Traveling Superintendent/Field Manager

Description:
The Superintendent/Field Manager is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and supervising on-site trade employee activities during all phases of the project. Candidate must have the ability to adhere to the project schedule, effectively communicate with the project manager, architect, engineer and other project team members to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications and schedule. The Superintendent/Field Manager is responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety program requirements and ensuring corrective measures are implemented. The ability to maintain positive client relationships is key. Attends and/or conducts project status and other related meetings as required and/or requested by project manager. Additional duties may include assisting in estimating, review of subcontractor and material proposals, development of the master schedule, assisting in review of shop drawings for key materials and finalization of as-builts, turnover and walk throughs for equipment and material.  

Requirements:
This full time position requires a minimum of four year engineering degree OR equivalent experience as superintendent in commercial construction with a combination of technical training and experience. Computer experience required. Management and communication skills are essential. Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to supervise large groups essential. Varied project experience important. This position requires 80% travel to assigned sites.
